Peter Baralecki, Jr., 59, of Perth Amboy passed away after a valiant fight with cancer on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Perth Amboy, Peter was a lifelong resident of the city. For more than 30 years, he worked as a senior carpenter for JFK Medical Center in Edison, retiring in December 2021. Peter was a long-time parishioner of the Ukrainian Assumption Church of Perth Amboy and was very involved in Church activities including the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed fishing, camping, BBQs, horseshoes, darts, WWF wrestling and watching the New York Giants. For some time, he played with the Monday Night Mix bowling team at Majestic Lanes in Hopelawn.
Predeceased by his parents, Anna and Peter, Sr. and his brother Stephen, Peter is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret Baralecki; his children Patricia, Sara and Andrew Baralecki; his sister Maria Baralecki- Alvarez; nieces Melissa, Stephanie, Karen and Elizabeth, and; sister-in-law Diane Baralecki
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 8th with a Mass from the Ukrainian Assumption Church, Perth Amboy, followed by a private cremation. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Zylka Funeral Home 513 State Street, Perth Amboy with a Parastas service at 6:00 PM.
