Margarita Villanueva

Margarita Villanueva, 88, of Perth Amboy passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, Margarita settled in Perth Amboy in 1956. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church where, she was also a member of the Rosary Society. From 1956 until the late 1980s, Margarita worked for the former Sobol Brothers company of Perth Amboy. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery and helping others. But above all, she cherished time with her family, her children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by her siblings, she is survived by her daughter, Graciana Arce of Fords; her grandchildren, Amy James and her husband Michael, Angel Arce and his wife Robin and, Lourdes Arce, and; her great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Junior Soto and Aziel, Jocelyn, Evan and Malcolm James.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, August 19th at 9:00 AM from Zylka Funeral Home at 513 State Street, Perth Amboy, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial from St. Stephen's Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 18th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
