Jeanette Diakun

Jeanette Diakun, 92, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her home.

Born in Perth Amboy, Jenny was a lifelong resident of the city. She retired in the early 1990s as a teller working for several major banks over a period of many years. She was a long-time parishioner of the Assumption Ukrainian Catholic Church of Perth Amboy. She enjoyed going to the Cape May beaches in the summers. Above all, Jenny was a very caring and family-oriented person.

Predeceased by her husband John and all of her siblings, she is survived by a nephew, Andrew Powers.

The funeral services will begin with a Liturgy at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 21st, from Assumption Ukrainian Catholic Church, Perth Amboy, followed by entombment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 20th at Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy.
