Jan Kot

Jan Kot, 87, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in South Amboy.

Born in Poland, Jan came to the United States in 1952, settling in Perth Amboy. He worked for 37 years as a chemical operator for FMC Corporation of Carteret before retiring in 1995. He loved tending to his flower gardens. He was deeply religious and served as an usher at St. John Paul II (formerly St. Stephen's) Church in Perth Amboy.

Jan is predeceased by his parents Jan and Bronislawa and, a brother, Stanley. He is survived by his brother Tadeusz, and; several nephews and a niece.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM from Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial from St. John Paul II Parish, Perth Amboy. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sayreville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
