Anna Elizabeth Cap, 88, of Piscataway passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, after a brief illness.
Born in Yugoslavia, Anna came to the United States in the late 1940s, living in Woodbridge Township, Edison and Perth Amboy before settling in Piscataway in 1991. She was retired from the Perth Amboy School District where she was an assistant cook in the McGuiness School for more than 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and in her earlier years, hunting with her late husband. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband, Michael Cap in 1984 and her brother, Carl Huttenberger, she is survived by her children, Diane Koger and her husband James, Debra Cap and Michael D. Cap, and; her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 25th from Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy, followed by interment at 11:00 AM in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
